Dear Alumnus,

Another year comes to an end.

But not "just another year"!

This, our 32nd year of serving countless thousands of talmidim, has been a very special one for the entire Jewish community in Eretz Yisrael and particularly for Ohr Somayach.

The security situation, which has compelled us to fence in the entire campus and maintain 24-hour guard service, combined with the nations severe economic crisis which has caused drastic cuts in government aid to Torah institutions, has presented serious challenges to the yeshivas survival. Despite these problems the enrollment in all departments of the yeshiva has reached a record high.

We sincerely believe that the sacred work of kiruv and harbotzas Torah we are doing in Eretz Yisrael and throughout the world is the most powerful force for the security and prosperity of Jews in Eretz Yisrael and everywhere else.

Never before has this work been so vital to the survival of Klal Yisrael.

Never before has there been such a great opportunity to successfully reach out to so many Jews.

Never before has it been so crucial for our former talmidim to extend the financial help we so desperately need in order to provide others with what you were privileged to receive.

On behalf of the entire Ohr Somayach Family I wish you and your family a Kesiva Vechasima Tova a year of peace and prosperity for all of Klal Yisrael.
