Rabbi Akiva Tatz
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Rabbi Tatz studied medicine at the University of the Wittwatersand and completed military service in the South African Army as a medical officer. He studied for 7 years at Ohr Somayach in Israel while practicing medicine in Jerusalem. He was one of the most sought after lecturers in South Africa where he attracted hundreds weekly to his public lectures at Ohr Somayach in Johannesburg. An accomplished writer, Rabbi Tatz is the author of the highly acclaimed volumes Anatomy of a Search, Living Inspired and World Mask. He is currently the featured lecturer at Ohr Somayach in London.

Rabbi Mordechai Becher
Rabbi Becher, originally from Australia, is a senior lecturer for the Gateways Organization. He lectured at Ohr Somayach in Jerusalem for 15 years, and served in the I.D.F. Rabbi Becher is the co-author of After the Return, and has developed Judaica websites and software. He received his ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

Rabbi Dr. Yitzchak Breitowitz
Rabbi Breitowitz is the rabbi of the Woodside Synagogue in Silver Springs, Maryland and an associate professor of law at University of Maryland. He received rabbinical ordination from Ner Israel Rabbinical College and his law degree from Harvard Law School.

Rabbi Mordechai Suchard
Rabbi Suchard is the Founder and Director of Gateways and the son of a Rabbi and Judge on the prestigious Johannesburg Beth Din. He studied in the Talmudical Academies of Telshe in Cleveland and Ponevitz in Israel. He is ordained by the Chief Rabbi and Dean of the Beth Din of Jerusalem, Rabbi Kulitz.


Rabbi David Ordman
A native of England, Rabbi Ordman acquired his higher Jewish education at the Talmudical Colleges of Gateshead and Manchester. Rabbi Ordman is a senior lecturer for Gateways and Arachim and is known internationally as a dynamic Judaic studies teacher from Hong Kong in the East to Los Angeles in the West.

Dr. Herman Presby
Dr. Herman Presby received his Ph.D. in physics from Yeshiva University in 1966. He holds more than 180 foreign patents. Among his technical achievements, Dr. Presby is credited with developing many of the optical fiber and pre-form diagnostic tools. Presently, he is Senior Research Manager for TeraBeam Corporation as part of a Lucent-TeraBeam Alliance.

Mrs. Debbie Greenblatt
Mrs. Greenblatt majored in Judaic Studies and Comparative Literature at Queens College. She also has a Teaching Degree from the Teacher's Institute for Women at Yeshiva University and has been teaching for over twenty years. For the past twelve years, she has been devoted to teaching adult women of varied backgrounds throughout North America.

Rabbi Jonathan Rietti
Rabbi Rietti, son of the famous British actor and film director Robert Rietti, received his rabbinical diploma from the Gateshead Talmudical College. He was the pioneer in establishing the now flourishing learning center in Gibraltar. Rabbi Rietti is a senior lecturer for Gateways and with a Masters in Education, specializes in working with Jewish youth.

Mrs. Chaya Reich
Mrs. Reich is the Co-founder and CEO of a computer mail order company. Previously, she founded and operated a specialty jewelry design and manufacturing company. She is a certified Jewish Marriage Educational Counselor and is sought after as a speaker on marriage, relationships & the role of women in Judaism to audiences throughout America. Join us for a thought provoking retreat exploring fundamental issues that face contemporary Jews.

From Route 287 North
Take Exit 10 (Route 527/New Brunswick/South Bound Brook). Follow Route 527 N. to first traffic light and make left on Davidson Avenue. Hotel is 2nd building on left, 2nd driveway entrance, next to the Garden State Exhibit Center.

From Route 287 South

Take Exit10 (Route 527/Easton Avenue/ New Brunswick). At bottom of exit ramp, get immediately into the left lane and make a left turn. (Go over overpass of 287). Once you have turned left, go straight bearing to right -527 North, to first traffic light. Make left on Davidson Avenue. Hotel is 2nd building on left, 2nd driveway entrance, next to the Garden State Exhibit Center.

From Garden State Parkway

Travelling North, take Exit 127 for Route 287 North. Travelling South, take Exit 129 for Route 287 North. Follow Route 287 directions above.

From New Jersey Turnpike(North - South)

Take Exit 10 to Interstate 287 North. Follow 10 miles to Exit 10 Route 527 New Brunswick - South Bound Brook. Follow Route 287 directions above.

From New York City

Take the Lincoln Tunnel to NJ Turnpike South. Follow NJ Turnpike directions above.

From Staten Island

From the Outer Bridge Crossing to Route 440 to Route 287 North. Follow Route 287 directions above.

Public Transportation

Take NJ Transit (NE Corridor Line) from Penn Station in New York City to New Brunswick station (approximately a 40 minute ride). Take cab to Hotel, approximately a ten minute ride.
