An old Purim tradition has
the "Purim Rav" making a "kiddush" composed of bits and pieces of Biblical
passages and Talmudic excerpts woven into a tapestry suggesting the ramblings
of an inebriated scholar combining the joy and reverence which make up the
Purim spirit.
