Message From Beyond

(A shadow plays truant on his face
like a distant memory fading to black.)

You always used to ask me
what happens after the lights go out
and now i can tell you
when the lights go out
you can see the world as it really is:
a great cinema where doctors
are helping everyone whose face
was glued to the screen.
