Pray Delay
I am a
Rabbi at a yeshiva (Talmudic academy) in Jerusalem. Our yeshiva davens (prays the
morning service) on Shabbat at 7:45.
I like to pray earlier, so I would often attend a sunrise service at
around 6:25. Then I would come to
my yeshiva’s service in time for the Torah reading.
I was told that someone
overheard a student saying, “Why do I have to come on time if Rabbi G. always
comes late?”
